This sourdough starter was made my Mermaid Tracy and is much more than a simple leavening agent; it represents a rich tapestry of history, culture, and science.

Purchasing a LIVE WET active starter will allow you to reactivate it using the instructions Mermaid Tracy will supply.

What you get is:
 25g + active Fresh (LIVE) Sourdough Starter with complete instructions how to care for it. It will need to be feed and put into a jar as soon as receiving it. We recommend an airtight lid.

Extra information: 

1. Please feed her ASAP and give her time to double and she is ready to use.  She is made with unbleached white flour and spring water. 
2. You can bulk your starter up to any size you like.  
3.  We recommend starting your starter in the morning.  If you start at night, you will miss the starter's peak rise which is the ideal time to use it to bake...that is unless you're a night owl and plan to bake throughout the night :)

Please note: Sold as 25g of active starter in a plastic container with a lid with instructions for local pickup only.  For Shipped active starter item will be shipped in two zip lock bags for extra protection.
